hotgirlsummer2021's Journal, 01 June 2021

Since March 8th, the day I joined the gym and was told without a personal trainer I'd never lose a pound, I am now officially down 37 pounds. Strict hard diet. Working out minimum 5 days a week. It's been hard but the most rewarding thing I've ever done for myself. I'm so proud of myself. The last 3 years were so dark and I found the light in me again. If my depressed lazy ass can do this, trust me, anyone can. I'm 18 pounds from my goal. I was supposed to hit that by October and now I'm going to hit it by July. I had to share. This is a huge HUGE accomplishment for me. I don't stick to things often. But I stuck to this. I am in love with the new me. Happy day everyone 💋
158.4 lb Lost so far: 37.6 lb.    Still to go: 13.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

The only thing I can say to try and motivate you to change your life and become the person you want to be both inside and out is simple, how bad do you want it?

Crawling out of a depression is sooooo hard. Ironically, exercise helps combat depression. It's just getting started that's needed, not a personal trainer (though having one is like a cherry on top). Very proud of your continuing success, Grrrl!

Someone actually said that! The audacity! You’re doing amazing! I myself have lost 25+ pounds working out at home no personal trainer. Determination is all I needed.

Did someone at the gym say that trying to pressure you into getting a personal trainer? Some are good but most go through the motions of a "plan" with "goals" and nothing truly personalized from what I've heard. Most of the information is out there and the advantage of a trainer in my opinion is corrections on form and taking the planning out of the equation for people who don't want to decide which exercises they're doing, how many sets and so on.

Nothing a Personal Trainer can teach you that you cannot learn yourself on the internet for free.

Wow. I’ve just started a couple weeks ago and I’m discouraged bc I e only list a few lbs. and I feel like food is all I think about, how many calories, how many carbs What does your typical day’s intake look like? Are you trying to keep your protein/ carb/ fat ratios at a certain percentage? Any feed back is welcome:)
