No trophy, certificate, plaque, ribbon or medallion of I have had the honor of receiving for my many successes, from youth sports to to statistical excellence in the corporate environment, will ever compare to this.
In all of those things, the standards were already set by others, to which I merely worked hard to earn, so that I, too, would have my name associated with all of those who came before me. But this...nobody told me how to get healthier, I made the choice myself, to research, and execute whatever it was going to take, to become healthier.
I've learned that it is a never-ending, always changing and highly fulfilling endeavor, to be on the constant pursuit of self-betterment.
So this is now my FIRST success with FatSecret.
7 months and 2 days ago, I finally got serious about my health. And with my Goal Weight of 140 pounds set ( from a starting weight of 173.4), I was absolutely thrilled to see my scales readout of 139.8 today.
I truly hope each and every one of FatSecret's members, who have not yet reached their goals, do so with all the support we members share with one another. You're all quite an empowering lot.
