There is NO WAY you've gained nearly 5lbs in one day. Water retention is probably at fault. Check your sodium intake, it's amazing how easy that can creep up. ((HUGSS))

Check your scale again. I always check my weight two times, sometimes it’s shows too much weight at first and then less weight on second time

Sodium could be to blame...maybe some undetected gluten or other starch, too? (I seem to struggle with white starches - digestive issues, pain, weight gain...) It’s just discouraging. I can do so well but then gain it all back in a day or two, and then it takes a week of careful, mindful planning and eating along with exercise to get back to my starting point....and then it happens again. While I have been remaining within my calorie threshold, I have been doing so while including some snacks that I wouldn’t normally have (while trying to lose weight, that is. I need to tighten that up. Just struggling to maintain motivation. Oh, and as to rechecking the weight, believe me when I say I don’t weigh once...I step off and on, reposition the scale, etc, and I always weigh at the same time/point in my daily schedule. Something positive.....because I focus too much on the negative....I’m pleased with the muscle definition that I’m noticing, and my body feels leaner and stronger than the soft body I started with. That’s all...I think this is the most I’ve ever posted on FS. Maybe getting it out will help to clear my head.

Hun, you are doing very, very well in your journey. Mindful eating is the key. I found when I added in snacks that's when I derailed. I had to accept that I can't snack. If I want a treat, I have to have it with my meals, and adjust accordingly. You CAN do it. You WILL do it.

Kick the scale with your lean and strong leg. Waterfluctuations are normal. They happen to me almost every week. Means nothing... Stick to your stuff... if your body is changing you are doing it right.

I’m sure we all do this. I’m up 7 lbs since the cold weather hit. I had a pity party for myself and then now I’ve turned myself around. It’s when you stop trying...you fail. So it’s never too late , today is always a new day....turn around. You got this...don’t stop trying 🤗
