Debbie Cousins's Journal, 03 January 2021

Ended up getting in 6/10 of a mile of walking, with going to three stores yesterday. This is really good, because I haven't "officially" added EXERCISE to my weight-loss program. Right now, I am just getting used to decreasing Diet Coke, increasing water (up to 64-oz a day now), staying under 2,000 calories a day, limiting sweets and having more healthy snacks. I'll probably give my knees another 20 pounds loss before I start subjecting them to daily walking around the perimeter of our 10-acre property. Even though it is cold, I prepared for this LAST winter by buying extra warm walking clothes, so I'm all set.

I went to sleep at 8:30 and woke up at 11:30 and couldn't go back to sleep. Laid there until 12:15, when I gave in and decided to get up. So far, I have caught up on my FS notifications, created a recipe in my Cook Book for "doctored" Rao's Tomato & Basil (Spaghetti) Sauce. It's good by itself, but even better with a pound of ground beef (grass-fed) and a package of fresh mushrooms and a nice Vidalia onion !to it. I'll post a picture and the recipe when I make it later.

OH, also cleaned up the kitchen, loaded dishwasher, sanitized counters, etc. so it is READY for me to start cooking. My husband will eat it with angel hair pasta, but I bought a small organic Spaghetti Squash for mine.

Getting tiredl Will do a little more on the computer then head back to bed. Sweet dreams everyone in FS Land.

Well done with the exercise! Could you also do some indoors like using weights or resistance bands? As for sleep, I absolutely can't go to bed early because I will wake up at 2am....... I don't know the answer to that, sorry.

I had a great day yesterday. Running around doing errands, packing up christmas stuff, and first day back to eating right. Wasn't tired at all, up til 2am wide awake at 5am. No idea why but hopefully back on schedule tonight. I'm planning on doing a youtube exercise video tomorrow morning. Nothing to crazy, maybe a walk with Leslie Sansone. I like her.
