Lowkeylife's Journal, 24 November 2020

When I initially joined FS in May 2018 I set my starting weight at 210lb but in reality it could have been 215 or 208. Anyways, I was miserable and needed to get my shit together. Around the same time I had a meal plan created for me so that I could learn a few things. What I learned was

-Too restricted does not work for me
-I need a nutrition from all macro groups
-I like a mix or low/medium/high carb days
-It’s a process, it’s a life style change

It took me a while to realize the low/med/high carb days were the same as low/med/high calorie days 🤣 🤦‍♀️

This method no matter what I eat (plant based, pescatarian etc) has allowed me to not go on crazy binges or feel deprived etc. I can mentally, physically and emotionally handle 2-3 low calorie days per week without losing my shit the other days, without setting of any binge bells.

Yesterday I was huuuuugry. Logged my 1600 cals but as always it excludes my coffee, creamer and daily home made calorie friendly hot chocolate!!!

Looking back when I first fractured this foot on 10/16 I quickly lost just about 5lb. I was slow, slept more, skipped breakfast and logged around 1200-1300 cals which incl my unlogged stuff is 1400-1500. In the past few weeks I’ve started to log 1500-1600 hence the up n down. Meh, all good. I’m returning to work Saturday and I’ll have to come up with new flow for the next 3 weeks while I’m still BFF’s with this boot 😩

Happy Tuesday, save those calories today and tomorrow for Thursday!!!! You got this!!!’

Only three? Not too bad, but easy for me to say. ☺️ I’m sure you’ll be happy to walk normal again, and you will!! 💪🏻👍🏻

You will be able to make better headway once you are mobile again. Eating the right foods , you don't need to feel hungry. I felt full on 1400 Kcall but now eat my 1600 allot for a sedentary lifestyle and exercise, mostly walk the 250-500 calories to lose a half or one pound a week. I plan a pound a month for the next year. Exercise and sensible eating and good choices are my experience.

Yeah boot for 3 more weeks to a total of 8 weeks, hopefully I won’t need physical therapy.... By week 10 I’m released to normal pre injury activities minus stair sprinting which I’ve retired from 🤦‍♀️ I’m quite in-tuned with my body, cravings and fluctuations!!! I’m a master of maintaining and keeping it going. My weight may not drop much below 175 as I’ve lost muscle mass while not being able to lift and have excess skin that won’t go anywhere. Naturally once I’m back to lifting regularly I’ll add a few lb’s hence why I’m trying to get closer to a buffer zone of 170. I’m 5’10” and not exactly petite 😁 I’m not worried about Thanksgiving or Christmas, sweets, carbs and wine are part of my regular eating patterns!!!! 🤷‍♀️

Erq I feel for you. I know you are sooo ready to get back into your flow. I had all intentions of working my core from home while out of commission. Yeah that didn’t happen. I’m back with Muscle Mike twice a week for upper body but miss my own routines n flow. This too shall pass, for both of us...
