🤦🏽‍♀️ I was doing so well. I need to stay out of my kitchen when I'm bored and get rid of the Halloween candy. I realized yesterday I just kept randomly walking into the kitchen looking into the refrigerator and cabinets and grabbing a small something here and there.

I have that habit. Sometimes I place waterbottles in those spots to grab instead of whatever I may be reaching for

I threw out the candy. I find planning my meals for the day and allowing room for healthy snacks helps. Fixing a cup of green tea when I wander into the kitchen also keeps me on track; I especially like the flavored teas, like pear and raspberry.

@Shir - I can’t believe you threw out candy!!😵 I love sweets way too much I’d cry if I did that. Also I’m really conscious about wasting food. I’m trying to bring it to the office now and hopefully it will help. Crazy thing is I’ve brought candy in the house after I started losing weight and have been able to control myself. I don’t know what’s going on. The weather? or maybe because I hit a plateau and am at my mini goal.

Sometimes I find that that I really want for boredom eating is just the act of munching mindlessly on something, so I get a bowl of air popped popcorn with no oil, salt only... Or a bowl of a few cups of frozen cherries and/or mango cubes. They give you the enjoyment of snacking without the overwelming calories. Sometimes I will just munch on salted cucumber slices. There is comfort in munching. :)

@abstract I definitely agree there’s comfort in munching. I’m trying to take the advice liv had with tea instead of water. I’ll try to frozen fruit and veggies you do too. Thanks!
