Finally...I've made it to the "perfect" goal number of 135.0 with no 10ths at all after over 2 weeks of sticking to my calorie counts. This has been a slow month starting at 137 and not hitting 135 until November 16th. I'm going to 134 as planned to allow for fluctuations and for when I overdo the eating at parties and such. I hope one pound is enough of a buffer zone! I've got a lot to learn about maintenance but hope one day to trust myself enough to not count calories at all---not even casually, in my head. But after 8 months of count, count, count, it's a (good) habit I think that has got me to this goal and taught me portion and choice control.
Time to celebrate and give a cheer for hard work! I still believe that out there we're on our own as to what we put in our mouths and it ain't easy with almost everyone I know in my circle not caring a whit what they choose--it's almost always fast food, large portions, and not just once a week but multiple times a week--or daily.
I do wonder does anyone out there live among those who make healthier choices as the norm since my peeps are pretty stuck on the heaviest foods they can afford.
