Most likely your muscles retaining water to help them heal. When we do activities we don't do every day, our muscles get tears and water replaces to help them heal. As you do this over and over again, you start to build muscle. But putting on a pound of muscle takes time. I went on a long bike ride and was up 4 pounds the next day. It went away after a few days. Just keep going!
