Katred12 thanks for your comment. I looked at your diary. How do you like the shiratake noodles. I've been thinking about getting some. Just haven't done so yet. Trader Joe's is mt favorite store especially for the produce. Where do you find the Walden Farms Products? Does it have alot of unknown ingredients? What's it sweetended with?

Shiitake noodles were okay to provide the semblance of bulk, however, they did not stave off hunger long.

I've started the 5:2 fast. Atkins seemed to work in the short run, however, it was awful to think that, even if I was successful, There were foods that I would never be able to eat. It was kind of unforgiving.

Oh, I wanted to mention that my weight seems much more stable on the 5:2.

I feel the same way about Atkins. I do love the improvement in my health numbers with it. What I like about the 5:2 or Alternate Day Diet is the variety. The good thing is that here in the 5:2 diet community I'm free to do Atkins or what ever works for me just fasting at least two days a week. I'm going to try the noodles. Thanks for the review. Some reviews I read said they taste like rubber others aid they take on the flavor of the food they are cooked with. I have a cookbook for them that I got off the internet.

Sherota, the recipe we make really does stave hunger, and it's pretty good. The thing you have to remember about them whatever you do is to rinse them, they smell fishy when you open the package, but after rinsing they are OK. I boil them for awhile in chicken broth and seasonings, and they are even pretty good. The ones I buy at the Asian market are better texture, I think, than Miracle brand noodles. I like to cut them up with kitchen scissors too. My recipe- hope it comes out: http://fatsecret.com/recipes/rec-672e43ac17314a36be9ea2bd21963c7d/Default.aspx

it didn't, here: 1 quart pkg  simple truth organic chicken broth 1 pkg shirataki noodles 2 T rice vinegar 1 tsp. sriracha 1/2 cup snap peas 1 serving tamari 1 cup chopped cabbage(coleslaw mix) 2 cloves garlic 1 tsp ginger I like to add a little tiny bit sweetener, because Mirin has too many calories. About the Walden farms- I think if you are opposed to that kind thing you pass on it. They do have some things like splenda added. I'm getting there, we just watched the deadly seeds, and we grow a lot of organic veggies.
