Looks like you are losing. That is great. Do not compare with others. We are all different. Your journey will be yours. Have fun with keto and do not be afraid of food.

If you're working out, you're probably gaining muscle mass and its adding to the scale. Keep going though! You can't give up! You got this! 😉 The numbers will shift soon enough.

I'm wondering if you're eating enough. Less than 1000 doesn't seem like enough food. I've read that if you don't eat enough, your body thinks it's being starved and holds onto everything. Just a thought. Best wishes for success! 🤗

Yes, what you read is correct. My grandma does the fad diets where you take out certain necessary nutrients from your food and she's complaining because instead of losing weight, she is gaining. This is a common result because your body freaks out and says you are starving, so it makes fat to keep you alive. My Mom has taken two nutrition classes and I have also taken one, and the classes back up that info.

Losing 2 lbs a week is amazing progress, and better yet a HEALTHY rate of weight loss. Do not compare yourself to others, everyone is different. The important part is you're eating healthier and losing weight.

For some reason, fasting didn't work for me. I was doing one meal a day, less than 1000 calories and working out and just kept bouncing between losing and gaining 1-2 pounds.
Now I've been eating protein bars/shakes in the morning and afternoon and then my same dinners as always and I HAVEN'T been working out like I should... (and I've even snuck in candy, shhh)... Still bouncing between those 1-2 pounds 😂😂
I know once I get back to exercising daily, I'll start losing (omg hopefully), but my body does seem happier with some food throughout the day 🤷♀️

If you were a semi-healthy eater before you probly are not going to have that big drop. I started at 215 and dropped 5 lbs that first week and 10 the first month because I was eating 3500ish calories a day. After that first month I lost about a lb per week for 3 or 4 months. Because you're start weight wasn't that high you probly won't lose as much in a wk and ur initial drop will likely depend on how bad u were before (in my experience)

If you average a loss of 1-1.5 pounds a week you are doing very well. One pound is 3500 calories, so to lose 5 pounds of fat a week you would need a deficit of 2500 calories a day, hardly a realistic goal. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Good luck on your journey. 🌈
