Yay! and Yay! I finally got the scale to show what my efforts have been all about. I can't believe it. In four more lbs I will have lost 50 lbs since last March when I started.

I'd added more carbs and even let the calories pile up a bit on a few days. I was hoping that was fine and I kept checking the Atkins site to make sure that was okay. I'ts hard to believe I'm still overweight though. I feel so much better. I guess I better seriously get out a camera and record the effect. I don't like seeing my photo since I got chubby I guess and it sure is strange not being able to relate to my image. Getting older doesn't help either. I was laughing the other day cause I was telling my daughter how all the ladies my age used to be such cute little teeny boppers in miniskirts dancing in the gym not all that long ago! Or was it???

192.0 lb Lost so far: 46.0 lb.    Still to go: 57.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I just read your profile...so now that you have been back on Atkins for a while, have you updated your thoughts on keeping this as an ongoing lifestyle once you reach your goals? Just concerned that you will get where you want to go...and then make changes that will ultimately bring you back full circle to being fat again. Making lifestyle changes to bring us to 'good health' can be accomplished a myriad of ways...but using Atkins as a "diet" to simply lose pounds...will eventually come back to bite you...as you well know. Great job on the losses so far! You are doing a wonderful job!!

Congrats on the weight loss. isn't Atkins great - you get the weight off relatively quickly while still eating healthy, good for you foods while curbing the carb monster? Almost 50 lb off - that's amazing. Keep up the good work. Its so worth it and the skills you have learned in getting that 50 lb off will stand you in good measure to get the rest off and keep it off. I would say good luck but I don't think you need it, you are doing so well.
