charlesavelar's Journal, 14 June 2019

I've recently had an accident and fell off my bike. Scraped knees, calves and elbow that needed bandaging. Rotator cuff damage both arms but mostly the right side I fell on. I can't lift my right arm without some pain. Bruised both knees. I may have damaged my right rib cage, it hurts to take deep breaths. My right pictorial muscle is also bruised and sore. My right wrist was also sprained badly during the fall and hurt the most the next day. I've taken five days off from any activity to heal. Surprisingly I haven't gained much weight so far. I hope to get back on the bike today for a short training session to see how it feels. The bad news is I got hurt in a lot of places and that's the good news too. By spreading the damage it wasn't concentrated at any one point thus reducing how bad it could have been there. All in all I seem to be healing well after five days, at least better than I expected. I can't put off my training too long or my rivals will get too much advantage over me. I had already outclassed most of them after loosing 20 lbs and I don't want to loose that advantage. lol
191.0 lb Lost so far: 18.2 lb.    Still to go: 6.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 4.2 lb a week

Thank you all for your words of encouragement. Some of the injuries will take a little longer to heal and I still feel some discomfort. Your words of support can make the spirit sour. We're all made of stardust from a dying star that went supernova billions of years ago. We're all connected and that connection makes us stronger with each others encouragement and support. Hugs and ^5ss
