Well, if you know the weight is from bloating (water weight), then you know it will go away. Stay on your plan during this time, and get in some exercise. Plenty of water to help fight the bloat. There isn't a lot you can do about it. It will go away. It's just something we have to deal with each month. You will be fine.

Don't con yourself into thinking it's hopeless. Suzi's right, lots of water will help purge the bloating because I tend to go up a pound (or 3) after eating too much sodium in a day. Sometimes it takes a couple of days for the scale to go back down to normal. I peeked at the past few days of your food journal & although the calories are low, there are a couple of days where the sodium mg is much higher than the calories. One of my other buddies told me that you should try to get your mg sodium at about the same number as your calories, which I never knew because I'd never paid attention to it. And of course, she told me this when I was feeling exactly as you are, why the hell am I not losing when I'm trying so hard?? So I started watching it & drank TONS of water in the meantime, & within 3 days my weight had gone back down when I'd expected it to be. Don't look at it as a setback, just an opportunity to get yourself more educated on your own body. Having a positive attitude about the measures you're taking to get healthier should be more of a focus than the results. Hang in there hon!

Keep going! I try not to get on the scale around my period. You might try not to weigh till a day or so after your period so it's not so upsetting. I know how hard it is, I can't seem to lose with or without my period but I am going to keep going and be healthy.Your kids will keep you going. All I have to do is look at them and I will do anything for them. Remember it is for you too! Good luck

Just keep at it :) I often sabotage myself by thinking negative and end up going to the cupboard t find something to make myself feel better but then end up feeling worse then before. You can go up 5 lbs. during that time of the month just due to all the bloating. So keep at it!! Good luck :)

I usually don't lose during my period either. It's normal. It also makes you feel like crap, so go easy on yourself. You know there's no turning back, but there are bound to be bumps In the road. You can do it.
