kathleeng48's Journal, 11 March 2019

When I posted my last weight, it was with a defective scale. Even now, I have two that don't match, by several pounds. So I am putting this since I feel like I am at least this or less and not more. I put 100 percent down since I tracked daily and as honestly as I could on vacation but can't get recipes to really see when I consumed in fat they may have used. I ate breakfast and dinner out daily, except when we ate leftovers in our suite. So I was 100 percent in my tracking.
I weighed 2 lbs less on the heavy scale when I got back, so whatever my real starting weight was, I lost two pounds. I am really determined to get five pounds off this month. I would love to really surprise my endocrinologist. I guess I should be proud that I survived all of the holidays plus a major cruise vacation and almost two week vacation to Florida. If I can do that, I can do anything.
It is frustrating to really not see the scale show significant loss in three months. But to keep motivated, I thought about what it would be if I were not on a program.
Wish me luck on my journey. I am not weighing in for a month.
199.6 lb Lost so far: 41.4 lb.    Still to go: 51.6 lb.    Diet followed 100%.
gaining 0.9 lb a week

Measure yourself. You'll see the improvement when it comes.

Bathroom scales vary wildly! That is why the actual number on the scale is not all that important. You are weighing yourself not to find your weight, but to chart your losses. Even if the scale weighs heavy, if you use the same scale all the time, you can see the actual progress. Only the scales in a medical setting (hospitals & clinics) are accurate because they are required to be calibrated for prescription dosing purposes. Freight scales as well, but I'm less likely to strip down at the UPS store than my Dr. office.
