FBS 95 this morning and I met my final goal ( at least for this morning), almost a year from when I started. I started in January at 175 pounds. (I am a 5 ft. 3 in. senior citizen). This morning I weighed in at 125 pounds. Hard to believe, but I have lost 50 pounds and have normal blood sugar levels. Woo Hoo!!! On the down side, I have lots of loose, flappy skin.
125.0 lb Lost so far: 15.0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 0.7 lb a week

Such a great achievement. I put my goal down there thinking that at my age it would be impossible. But you did it!!! Any good advice for other older ladies trying to accomplish what you did

Find foods you actually enjoy that fit into your way of eating. For me sugar free jello with whipped cream and walnuts is delish and keeps me from feeling deprived when everyone ese is having dessert. Pork rinds give me something crunchy and I like them when I'm craving chips and crackers. I list everything, I try to not eat after 7pm. I stay under 1700 calories. On holidays I eat a spoonful of what everyone has, including desserts, and lots of turkey, salad, green beans and other things for my way of eating. I drink bullet proof coffee and usually don't eat until lunch. And I drink lots of coffee, almond milk and hot tea because I like it. Keep in touch. You can do it and I would like to follow your progress.
