Hi everyone, this is my first journal entry. I had first started using this app because I found the calorie count so easy to track. My weight was out of control and it still is but i am ready and finally have the right support system around me to get it done this time. I have certainly tried every diet out there in my 54 years....I am hoping that this is it!
I have lost 23lbs since I started this time (4.5 wks ago).
I have started reading everyone’s entries and I am so happy to see how supportive everyone is with one another because there is no doubt that this ‘dieting’ mindset is flippin’ HARD.
I want to get more involved to ensure I am successful and in turn I want to help to encourage you all.

205.5 lb Lost so far: 23.6 lb.    Still to go: 74.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Welcome! My goodness your are losing well. Good for you. I am the 1-2 pound a week girl. I have found that the tracker is super helpful as it is giving me an idea about whether I am over eating in a certain category. Welcome!

Welcome. Just be aware as you are choosing foods from the FS database that there are MANY ERRORS.. ALso keep in mind that a way to view this is not as a diet but a lifestyle change.. take the time to do a little research on whatever weight loss program you have decided to follow and think about if it is sustainable into the future. If not, you will be back on this site over and over again trying to lose the same X——- amount of weight. I’m not going to say “good luck” because it is hard work and commitment that will get you to your goal. I look forward to following your progress.

Welcome welcome! No matter which food/diet methodology you choose to follow, personally, the biggest discovery I have made about weight should not be that controversial: It is all about calories in VS. calories out. If you eat more calories in a day than you burn, weight goes on. The hard part for me was finding a way to reduce my calories WITHOUT feeling hungry or deprived. The best way I have personally found yet is the KETO way (low low low low carbohydrates), but this might not be for everyone. Also, I m still on my path of discovering new, and better "truths", so as I come across them, I am always open-minded. Real results impress me. Hype does not. I celebrate your decision to be intentional in your outcomes, and hope you find all the happiness that we all deserve! Cheers. :)
