SoCalPam's Journal, 14 August 2018

Back from Oregon and a lovely visit with #1 son. Hubby and I drove from So Cal, so four days of driving total -- with no exercise those days. It's made a difference. We also fell into the olive oil tasting (with fresh rosemary bread) and I can see that it's going to take a couple of days to rid my body of the wheat.

I didn't throw away my diet completely, but I definitely indulged. When we got home last night I got on the stationary bike and used my weights, so I feel a little better about starting this week. (Of course, I took my weights with me and didn't use them at all. My son's apartment complex has a small gym and all I used was the spa, so I own my guilt.)

Two and a half pounds to lose again. I hate losing the same weight over and over! Such a waste of time. However, it could have been more, as hubby just reminded me.
155.1 lb Lost so far: 15.9 lb.    Still to go: 20.1 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I'm losing it now, Dawnie... That WheatBelly book is right: too much flour can lead to digestive issues in some folks. I am apparently one of those folks! I ate beautiful breads dipped in olive oil this weekend and had 4 breadsticks at The Olive Garden night before last. Holy cow. If I haven't lost 3 pounds today, then I've lost 4! I used to have IBS issues all the time before I reduced my white flour carbs but I never really put 2 and 2 together until I started reading that book. Onward and upward... and less bread for me!

I agree...2 lbs. is nothing. It's okay to loosen the reigns a little while on vacation...It sounds like you had a wonderful time! You'll be back on track in no time! =)
