I was sure protein shakes caused me joint pain with weight loss. Well, I learned from my primary physician the pain is related to my joints "adjusting" to less weight. Hmmm, not sure if I agree entirely and wonder about the experience of others like me.

So, planning to eat Atkins shakes in the morning with a sensible lunch and dinner.

I am considering weight loss surgery. Yesterday, my Sweetie and I attended an introductory workshop. (Yes, I am truly blessed to have someone love me even though I am not who I used to be.)

Surgery is scary stuff. What is truly scary is losing my mobility, unable to stand for more than a couple of minutes, out-of-breath after walking maybe ten steps, and the increased risk of stroke/heart attack.

Initially resigned to die young at 55, I decided to be around a little longer, giving myself one more chance to get healthy.

Here I am.
519.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 59.0 lb.    Diet followed N/A.

A lot moves around when you lose weight or exercise so I am not surprised you have pain. Muscles stretch, fat stretches or shrinks, there is a lot going on! Good luck with your decision making around food and surgery.
