42.8% I'm disappointed at my weigh-in today, but it is somewhat of a relief to see that my bfp is a little lower than it usually is. So its possible this minor weight gain is muscle or water. One hopes. I'm not really sure if I am stalling or not. It seems like each week's weight loss appears all at once around Friday, weight goes up a little Sat, and then stalls again until the next Friday. Does anyone else have any weird patterns like that? I don't feel in miraculous-type groove like I did when I was losing a bit faster (I KNEW I was losing), and I wonder if I can get to that point again? I was reading a magazine someone's tip to "treat weight loss like a job," which is what I was doing at that point, but am not now. Now I'm back to food as a pesky thing to deal with and dieting as something that can be casually done without focus. Not helpful attitudes. I need to refocus.

Yesterday was hard on my stomach. I was really hungry for dinner early but was invited to my brother's house and didn't want to spoil my dinner. So I went over there pretty hungry only to have my sister in law tell me that Jeff had forgotten he had to help with the sound system at their church that night. So dinner wasn't until 730 or 8 (vs. normal 5 or 6 for me), although when we got desperate I ate some wheat thins. Just after I ate dinner (but perhaps before it digested), I got that awful weepy, cranky feeling that comes when you need nutrition RIGHT NOW!!

Believe it or not, my cat has been interfering with my dieting progress. Or maybe she has-- at least, she is certainly trying! She has been waking me up very early every morning in attempts to get me to feed her. She wants to eat ALL THE TIME. I guess she figures if I am not going to anymore, she has to take over, lol. So I've not gotten a full night's sleep in a while. Today I am switching her over to feeding her all her food in the evening instead of half in the morning and half at night. She is not so far happy about it, but will hopefully adjust rapidly. Meanwhile, I need a cat therapist over here!

Ha! They have dog whisperer, now we need cat wisperer...Funny Cindy.... I have 2 cats and swear I had to do that at a suggestion of a friend. It took the cats about a week before they weren't still mad and making me pay for it. I too have somewhat lost that full fledged focus I had a month ago. Still doing ok, but the exercise has almost halted for me. Getting refocused as I have family coming in April and would just love to hit my next goal by then. I don't see much of a difference in me for having lost 23 lbs and everyone here (we just moved here 5 months ago) sees me daily, so there has been no one to say, wow, did u loose some weight.I guess mentally I need that????? anyhoo, hang in there and let's refocus completely... we can bang out that next goal, I know we can...unless, u r feeling bad 4 me cuz u hit the first goal first and are trying to let me "win" this next round.... hehe

Yeah, I got the idea to switch to nighttime feeding from a friend too. A week doesn't sound TOO bad... as long as they give up eventually! Yeah, it helps a lot to have people who haven't seen you in a while. People who are around me all the time aren't really noticing (except a very few of the them, like my mom), but recently I saw someone I hadn't seen in a while and they were like, wow, you lost a lot of weight! So I'm sure you'll be getting those comments soon after 23 lbs... that's a lot to lose, what progress! haha-- yeah, that's what I am doing, letting you win- you are funny! no, I am nice but not THAT nice. :) we can do this!

lisa- oh, your poor kitty! I hope my kitty is not sick. She is not peeing on the carpet or anything. Just begging all day. I think she is upset because the neighbor cat has been picking on her and she is afraid to venture outside much like she used to. (although she is outside right now, prolly in search of lizards since I won't feed her... she got extra food yesterday so she can't be too hungry). sorry to hear about your weather! I see you live somewhere freezing cold. I'm in Florida so I feel bad for you! haha re: proverbial boosts to the butt! :)

thanks for the much needed sympathy re: where i live.....!!! i just moved back up north last year...after spending nearly a decade in jamaica. Florida was like my second home during that time...i owned a business in Ja and so i was always travelling to Miami Ft Laud to do all my buying! When my kitty went into vet they did ask me if he was having any problems with other neighbourhood cats.....we live in cottage country...so not many nearby neighbours....but lots of racoons and foxes! thats why my kitty likes to stay inside...hes from Jamaica too....so its been a year of change for him ! poor kitty...it was hilarious when we first moved up here....the cat was looking outside and i live on the river....so the geese often hang out more than wed like...so my cat looks out and his ear is twsted right back...like hes freaked out and there are 50 huge canada geese on our lawn....its times like this youd love a cat whisperer to translate! hahaha

jamaica, wow! haha, that is funny about the geese! we have two big ducks that hang around our yard (esp when it rains) and sara has a similar reaction. Actually at first I think she thought they were the biggest most exciting prey ever... but they are bigger than her so I thought her reaction was both hilarious and worrisome!
