I agree, it’s frightening!

At least it is consistent ;) And yes it is somewhat frightening but folks have strong beliefs about their WOE.

I very much agree. I follow advice from an RD and she has given me the EXACT OPPOSITE instructions than what many people on here are following. And I am having success by eating all day, a variety of foods, and not cutting out whole food groups.

I feel like it all depends on the person. What works for me may not be ideal for another person. We should all support each other in our journey, rather than telling someone that what they are doing is wrong. We need a support group, people to cheer for us, not tell us that what is working for us is wrong because its not the way someone else would do it.

I wish there were categorized chats that pertained to which woe people followed. Misinformation may not be true... depending on which avenue we all take. I, myself, have been following a low carb approach. I see others having success in other ways, too. But I know that someone posting a delicious bowl of oatmeal and fruit is not something I choose to eat. Everyone just needs to be supportive... regardless - keeping in mind we are all in the struggle together.

Based on 49 years of personal experience, I agree with Klynn82, especially for those who have health conditions. I also think that sometimes we think one, that something that works for us must work for everyone, and two, that what we are focusing on specifically in our WOE must be the only important contributing factor and no other factor matters.

I apologize I may have sounded unsupportive in my last journal about the keto diet. I am sorry if I came across that way to any of you.

Depending on what your body type is, and what medical conditions you are dealing with, different diets will work for different bodies. LOL I had a weight watchers guru call me a liar at 12 and accuse me of cheating when I, as a hypoglycemic, needed to lose less than 30 pounds instead GAINED 3 pounds on their d@mn diet! 🤷🏻‍♀️I KNEW better! But my mom was SO pumped about it! My D.O. had already told me, this was in the 70’s mind you, NO CARBS. I was to eat complex carbs if I ate them in combination with veggies and protein. LOL 40 years later...after I used a modified fasting, bariatric surgery, then Adkins and Keto to successfully lose the 145 lbs my illnesses pit on my body, I can now start to go back to eating like that D.O. trained me, all those years ago. I wasn’t really that fat. 🤦🏻‍♀️I just wasn’t Twiggy. 🙋🏻
