In a stall. About 10 days now of up and down, and back again. Been through enough dieting in my life to know this is the way it goes sometimes, but that doesn't mean I don't hate it! Nothing, nothing at all, is more motivating than a scale with the numbers heading downward.
Patience. Perseverance. I know I am improving my general health regardless of the number on the scale. And, in the big picture perspective, I weigh less now than I did for most of the last 10 to 15 years. That is improvement. I will take it...for now!

I was in a stall during part of June. The advice I received which helped me is to change up my exercise routine...and to be sure to eat enough calories, fiber and water. SO, I did sprints when cycling and tried some exercise DVDs, and tried to increase the intensity of my walks. These changes really made the scale move. Hang in there!

Oh - and Go Red Sox? I am a Bostonian living in the MidWest now. I gather from your previous journal, you love close to Boston...but may be wrong.

opps = that is "live" close to Boston

Hi HCB...thank you for the feedback! Yes, I am outside of Boston. I lived in Cleveland for about 6 years, some twenty plus years ago, and was always a Bostonian at heart. :)
I do intervals on the bike, and I do think it helps. I have been intending to add some weight training, and I think it might help a bit. I also have been working on making sure I am getting enough water. It is easy to under do that a bit. Thanks for your suggestions! I will definitely see what I can do to move this along a bit. :)

I have definitely experienced stalls and think it is a combo of TOM and body chemistry--your brain holding on to reserves to avoid starvation. Don't worry--keep on the right track and you will soon bounce lower. I think of stalls as our bodies adjusting to a new low.
