My biggest problem is night time snacking.
I'm trying to keep tp 7am breakfast, 12pm lunch, 5pm dinner and 10pm snack. I usually stay up 'til midnight or later.
However, I start to get cravings around 8pm.

Same here. I never ate breakfast, so now I do a light breakfast and lunch...then save the bulk of my calories for dinner. I try to drink water which seems to help, but I've never been much of a drinker for some reason. I have to force myself to keep a cup of water at my side at all times or I just done drink. But I'm one of those people who confuses thirst for hunger.

Maybe only eat 3/4 of your dinner and then eat the rest at 8 and snack again at 10. I try to drink water if I am not supposed to eat, sometimes a little hot broth is good or cold decaf coffee depending on the weather

I do really need to drink more water. Especially with the sodium in the ramen. I can put a 2 qt pitcher of water near me to remind me. I used to have to for a medicine I used to take, to flush my kidneys of it. I can go through 2 or 3 pitchers in a day. Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

Good comments! To kick start a weight loss I have to stop eating after supper. I don't think that it's easy but what I do is I will only eat fruits or vegetables at first until I am able to cut those out. If you can't eat fruit then you could try to force raw vegetables until you get rid of your snack.

Also consider that the cravings you are getting is simply your body telling you what it 'expects' based on past schedule of snacking. Our actions trains our bodies to expect things at certain times.. so it responds with cravings and felling of hunger at the time it has come to expect. A Pavlovian response if you will. You might consider drinking your water like you say you need to and just grind though until 10pm. Show your bod that your the boss. :P
