I would like more information on fasting. My next weight in is Friday and I would love to see a nice drop. I’ve seen that others on here fast so I guess my question is do you just drink water during the fast?

I know some stuff about this! I did a four day water fast a week ago and the hardest part is wanting to eat food. Do small fasts first, like a 24 hour fast, to make sure you feel comfortable enough to do longer fasts in the future, if you choose to do so. Yes! Drink water! It will help clean your body of toxins (not to mention make you skin clearer) Drink any water as long as it's not distilled and if you feel sick then stop the fast right away! There are some cases of people fasting and developing a sickness due to a medical condition they didn't know they had. If you plan on fasting for more than 5/10 days then there's something called "refeeding" syndrome and it can make you really sick and can even kill you. Do research on different fasts and find one that you believe is best for you. There are a lot of informational videos and articles out there on fasting! I wish you good luck!

You can have up to 300 calories if you’re a beginner

if you're fasting to lose weight that's not good, it is always best to eat small portions of healthy meals and snacks every 3 hours and exercise and you'll never be hungry and you will get your metabolism working so you will lose weight faster than what you think. now you're going too fast for Spiritual reasons then I would recommend you just do a few maybe I have one evening at a time and during that time your you're in prayer, drink water. You can do it!

Drink plenty of water to avoid a headache. Be conscious of your food the next day, because you will probably be hungry. Keep yourself distracted.

Thank you all for the information. I’ll make sure I get as much information as possible before attempting anything. I actually have a check up tomorrow so I’ll talk to my doctor and see how she feels about fasting.

Look into 16/8 fasting. You'll be sleeping for a lot of it. Easy and numerous benefits.

when I am fasting I drink water or plain coffee or green tea nothing added.
