Going to try a 30 day low carb, under 600 calorie, low fat self made type of eating plan. it may not be the best or tastiest diet on the planet but I'm tired of looking the way I'm looking. I'll decide in one month if it's worth continuing my goal is 6 months I figure 6 months of my life to lose what I put on over years is a good trade off

Going too low on your calories will stall your metabolism and is unsafe. I would recommend 1300-1500 calories per day. You may want to consult a dietitian about a good plan for you. It's not worth sacrificing your health to be thin quickly. Usually when you lose weight on extreme diets, you end up gaining more weight in the long run.

I would do the proverbial walk before you run / you have a great attitude - Try this ,break eating down to 6 smaller meals a day , 3 meals, 3 snacks - drink plenty of fluids , especially before you eat / Relax , take time for yourself- try something each day you didn't think you could do - it doesn't have to be food or weight related - This is a good start for you - I have my opinions on food but it is best to see the way you want to approach that - Most of all , this is a lifestyle, so don't do stuff you hate everyday- find good foods, habits , friends you enjoy and go down that path - somebody losing some weight , doing and practicing ways you like, is someone to embrace- Explain to friends and family what you are doing and they will support you - as will we - GoGreen - YOU CAN DO IT !!!

you cannot really stall your metabolism unless if you are nearing a size that makes you severely clinically underweight or trigger a hypothyroidism, your body will keep burning fat and calories regardless. Your calorie limit on keto really becomes irrelevant outside of controlling appetite and receiving nutrients that can be substituted with a comprehensive multi vitamin. Your body will undergo autophagy and start efficiently using your own body's fat for fuel as long as you allow it to by avoiding triggering insulin responses with carbs.

Forgot to mention, try intermittent fasting instead if you are looking for a sustainable diet with still low calorie limits
