kay629's Journal, 04 January 2018

Ok all Christmas goodies eaten and drunk, upright and breathing in and out after the cold/virus that took me off to bed over the new year weekend. Just weighed myself- disappointing. The problem I have to contend with in winter is the weather- I don't want to go out walking in case I slip on ice because I can't get back up without help, plus I had a new hip implant 5 years ago and this puts restrictions of any exercise I may want to do. All this just sounds like an excuse now I've typed this up!

I don't do any exercise at the moment but I'm still losing weight. I'm going for surgery next week and as soon as I'm better and the weather is warmer, I'll go out with a walking group twice a week but I've found in the past it has little effect on weight loss. Best wishes for 2018!

Thankyou Ladies for your support- I'm back onto my 'normal' eating not doing any of the 'see it eat stuff' now- it's all gone. I have an allotment and this is where I get my exercise from- it's a large vegetable garden and of course there's only so much you can do during the winter, not raining today so i shall be going to get leeks and parsips. Hoping to see less of you.

How lovely - fresh veggies you've grown yourself! I attempted growing tomatoes for the first time last summer. Never again - they all tasted horrible raw - lovely cooked but I ended up spending the summer cooking endless dishes with tomatoes in just to use them up! I'm sure your produce tastes delicious though - you've obviously got green fingers 🙂
