I have shunned typing due to the bandage on my finger, but the thing is getting better. A friend called me today to see how much better is was. The color is just about back to normal, and the pain is gone. It itches. I have a theory about the healing, but no hard facts other than it DID get better. The Urgent Care clinic wanted me to go to the ER immediately after seeing it, and hinted at amputation. They freaked out because I am diabetic and don't take meds. Also, I couldn't tell them what my morning reading on the bg monitor was. I took it when I got home, and it was 87. I never went to the ER.

Today, I made a standard weekly menu for myself. I picked five keto recipes that I really like and planned two fasting periods for my busiest days. I think I am ready for daily 20/4 fasts on those days that I do eat, so that makes the long fasts 44 hours each. For the next few days, I shall allow myself a little leeway to eat off schedule, but Monday starts the hard and fast rules. I shall adjust as necessary.

I am going to work harder at recording what I eat. It is simply time consuming, especially when people want my attention. With a standard weekly menu, it should be easier. I'll take time now to plug the nutritional data from the recipes I like into FS.

I have a poster called, "The Black Belt Challenge". It lists monthly goals for self improvement. These goals apply to more than just karate. In fact, karate and other martial arts are more than just physical exercise. Isshogai Ryu and Kuk Sool Won have mental and spiritual components, too. I am going to apply what I know to changing my way of eating.
