Good Sunday morning buddies!!!

'Cop Out' was ... well ... ridiculous and not really all that good. It had its 'moments' and I did enjoy the popcorn!! Believe it or not, after popcorn (sans the 'butter') we actually went out for Mexican food. I had Carne Asada which came with a cheese enchilada, refried beans, and corn tortillas. Shared the tortillas and some of the steak with hubby, ate the ENTIRE cheese enchilada (oh how I LOVE cheese enchiladas), and one bite of the beans. Very yummy. Oh yes, of course there was one margarita in the mix too.

Weight is still 'in range' and all is well. Can't believe it didn't fluctuate up more than it did with all the popcorn I ate!!! I'm starting today out with some John McCann's Steel Cut Irish Oatmeal ... that ought to 'stick to my ribs' and help balance out the afternoon and evening of indulgence I engaged in yesterday.

Today will be laundry and assorted household stuff ... if I feel so inclined. I woke up at 2 am this morning ... wide awake. Didn't get back to sleep until after 4 am. Strange. That happens sometimes. Nothing in particular was on my mind ... just one of those times when a zillion random thoughts are dashing about at really the 'wrong' time.

Oh I almost forgot to tell you about our purchase yesterday. Have you seen the e-cigarettes?? The electronic cigarettes that are just vapor? Well, we've been looking at them and pondering them. A few of our friends have purchased them and been very happy about their purchases. For those of you who smoke you know how difficult it is to not only quit but 'stay quit.' Through the recent 'toilet swirling' in our lives we once again picked up the habit. We know it is not a good health choice and it is damn expensive to boot. With the electronic cigarette there is no smoke, none of the nasty stuff manufacturers put in cigarettes, no smell, ... I'll try to post a link here The Vapor Depot. Anyway ... I think it is a much better alternative than what we have been doing ... wish us luck!!

Okay ... I think that is all the 'news' for now ...

Today I am grateful for ...

1. more sunshine!
2. a fun time out with hubby & mom even if the movie wasn't all that good!
3. our anniversary Mexico trip getting closer and closer!
4. a full belly from steel cut oats ... YUM!!!
5. a day with no 'required' errands outside of home!!

Enjoy the remainder of your weekend!!! Take care, be kind to yourself, and remember this is a journey that 'never' ends (at least until our final dirt naps) and so together we will plod along ... sharing our excitement and our frustrations ... supporting each other!!

Hi Moose! I've never heard about e-gigarettes, if you try them you'll have to let me know what you think about them, I could be interested to try lol! Even though I don't want to quit smoking... Have a great Sunday!

No one is perfect, I just had no idea you smoked - took me by suprise a bit! lol I just know that you want to be the healthiest person you can be, and you know smoking is not helping that. I know you can quit, just take baby steps! I did it, you can do it!

jessy ... the e-cigarettes are like smoking without the smell and all the additives the companies put in the smokes. They are NOT nicotene free ... and I think lots of folks who don't really want to quit are choosing them because they are in the long run 1. less expensive and 2. get rid of some of the hassles of smoking ... like you can smoke them almost anywhere without bugging someone who doesn't like smoke!!! They use a liquid in them that you can get in different flavors ... I tried the coffee and the chocolate ... oh my goodness they were good!!! Anyway ... I'll keep you posted. We still have a few of the 'real' things left. Sarah I have quit many times!!! It is the staying quit that is difficult!! LOL!! I think the e-cigarette is a good compromise ...

Very interesting! As much as I like smoking, I don't like bothering other people around... I'm going to click on the link ;-)

There must be some place near you jessy where you can 'try' one ... our local shopping mall has a kiosk set up in it where we could see them and sample the goods ... surely Canada has them!!!

Thanks for the tip, I should have a look at the mall in Calgary... I would definitely like to try before buying the kit!

Okay Moose, I told you to see Crazy Heart but you wasted your money on Cop Out. (Just kidding!) Anyway, instead of wasting your money on ecigarettes - what you and hubby really need is a good belly laugh so here's my recommendation: Get on your Netflix or whatever and rent the first "Death at a Funeral". (They re-made it recently but I can't speak for that one and it may not be out on DVD yet.) It is absolutely riotous and I can almost guarantee that you will laugh so much and so hard you'll forget all your troubles for awhile...and what more could we ask? I tell you it's the best $2 medicine you could buy...absolutely side-splittingly (or pee yur pants) funny! My daughter literally fell off the couch, she was laughing so hard. If you and hubby don't laugh bunches of times throughout, you can sue me. Forget the cigarettes! ....What you both need is to laugh, laugh, laugh!

Hey Moose interesting journal you have today. I haven't clicked on the link yet but I will. Glad you had a great day yesterday. I indulged in a couple coolers myself at the bowling alley. I have to do some household stuff today too but I am so lazy I don't feel like moving. Enjoy your day!

doit2it ... yea I know ... you tried to warn me!!! I saw a preview for the remake of Death at a Funeral ... I'll check out the original ... it did indeed look ridiculous!! As for smoking ... I know you nonsmokers might think I'm crazy but the e-cigarette is the 'lesser of two evils' for us ... and although I hate the ashes, the smell, and other things about smoking I actually enjoy smoking. Back me up on this jessyline ... my buddies think I've lost my mind!!!

Back up at the ready here. Trying to stop smoking has sent my eating all to pot. I don't know which is the worse. I've been using nicotine patches and an inhaler thing but it doesn't fill the gap left by a 'real' cigarette. I'm thinking of trying the e-cigarette.

oh Flaxseed ... I swear by the heaven's above I think we are related!!! We are finishing up our last 'real' smokes but hubby has tried the e-cigarette at work and likes it. He is more of the die-hard smoker than I but I must admit ... smoking is one of my ways to 'relax' and deal with stress. He has two buddies at work who are long time smokers who are ONLY using the e-cigarette now and are doing just fine.

LOL! I didn't see your comment, so I'm coming too late... I enjoy smoking. If one day it becomes a problem, I will quit, period. It is not politically correct to say this, I know, but it is my opinion. If it helps to deal with stress and makes you feel better, then don't worry about what other people say, you know better than anybody else what is good for you!

You gotta do what you gotta do, I guess! Good luck with the ecigs!

No wonder I don't see a weigh-in for March 7, you certainly had a ball last night. ;-) Anyway, I personally am seriously considering designating Sundays as a weekly "free day" which may be a good thing (although you did this on Saturday). I've never heard of electronic cigarettes, I did take a look at the link. A *quick* search produced nothing on Amazon (although they did have cases). I used to be quite the heavy smoker but quit many years ago by just switching to cigars. I enjoyed the different shapes and textures, and the flavor beats anything cigarettes can produce. There is a very subtle change with the inhaling process which makes it a lot easier to forgo cigarettes. Later, leaving the cigars was painless and I never looked back. A woman who can smoke a cigar makes a statement. :-) The movies lately all seem terrible. I did see Shelter Island (Leonardo DiCaprio puts in a good performance), but I can't recommend that type of movie. I've bookmarked doit2it's movie recommendation though, that sounds like it might be amusing. I'm recording the Oscars and am curious to see what comes up there.

Info ... I did weigh ... I was up .8 lbs ... no biggie!! I'll likely post it later as I usually do. Hubby likes cigars ... especially on the beach in Mexico!! I've never been a real 'serious' smoker but a smoker I am. I've tried cigars ... I like the little ones on occasion!! LOL!! We watched (500) Days of Summer on Netflix, tonight at my son's recommendation ... it was okay, not a 'favorite' but entertaining enough. Spent most of the day trying to sort through tax paperwork ... must get that done ASAP ... before Mexico!! G'night my friend!! I sure would love a good movie!!!
