I got back from my mom's late last night. The party was a huge hit. But as usual, when traveling with little children, it is always so nice to be home. Gotta love this time of year. My daughter has ear infections in both ears and the croup. Now my son sounds like he has the croup as well. So off to the Dr. again today. I just got over all this crud as well, and now woke up this morning feeling like i have it all over again. Lovely!! As for the weekend, well, I did pretty good on saturday, cooked and was planning and setting up for the party(with a baby on my hip, who won't let anyone else near him if i am around) so I actually never really ate anything. Nibbled just a tiny bit here and there. But then on Sunday, when the party was over I did not do very well. At all!! Needless to say, Phase 1 for me today and maybe the rest of the week. This is going to be a really hard rest of the month. I have so much family coming in to town for the holidays and SOOO much entertaining to do. I will be perfectly happy just to maintain my current weight until the New Year. If I lose, GREAT!! But if not, I will not stress over it. Happy Monday everyone!!

I'm sure it will be easier for you, in all ways, diet and kids, now that you are home........

Sorry your kids are sick, that's always hard. You definitely need to enlist some help for all your entertaining, you can't expect to do it all alone! talk about Supermom.

I can feel for ya! For the Croup, wrap them up snug and go out in the cold night air, and just let them breathe it in. It will help with the inflammation in the lungs and they will be able to breath so much easier. I've got one on antibiotics for the ear infection, too. I've been there done that w/the double ear infections and croup, too. They both have had or still do have ear tubes even. It was not worth it to continue pumping the antibiotics in them! Good luck with all the family visiting! I made a crab dip (used the imitation crab) with fat free cream cheese, light miracle whip, some basil, garlic powder, & basil. Mix well and you have very tasty dip! I used some whole wheat Ritz with it, but would go nicely on celery or cucumbers or red/yellow/orange peppers (scoops), too! Good luck! Keep up on the RIDE, oh and the exercise bike, too! lol ;o)

You are right to be concerned graciepoo, I gained 2 pounds this morning after overindulging yesterday. And the hardest part (Christmas/New Year) isn't even close yet. We just have to use every technique we have available to us.

Isn't it amazing how quickly you can gain back a couple pounds and yet it takes you a week to lose it!! Ugh!! BullyT..as for the ear infections....my daughter has had them 3 or 4 times a year since she was born. i really think we are going to go with the tubes for her as well. My husband was the same way growing up and had tubes put it a couple times. Thankfully, my baby hasn't had any yet. He is almost a year old and this is his first time being sick. He has a dr. appt this afternoon so we'll see what the damage is.

Aw, hope that you and your little one's are feeling better soon. Glad to hear that you had a nice weekend though... although fully empathise with the over-indulgences from everyone recently. It is really hard at the moment with the holiday period looming... hopefully some of these challenges will keep us accountable! Decided I can't have two bad weeks... so hope that you have a great week too. :o)

Hope things go well at the doc appt. As busy as you have been and the stress of holidays and trying to make it special for the kids, ear infections and such, It's amazing how mom's handle it. I still don't know how I made it through it :) Lets face it, being a MOM is a big, thankless job...but we just love it anyway! Don't stress too much, look how good your chart is looking, you're doing fine girl! and your always inspiring and motivating. It would make me tired just watching what you do in a day! ;)
