I have been steadily increasing weight each year for about 7 years; in 7 years I have put on 32 pounds, an average of approximately 5 lbs. a year.......

I "flirt" with calorie counting, weight watchers, and am beginning something new presently.

I need a "place to go" to "talk things out" about food addiction, etc.

Hi, new member: thankful for such a great site
Hi Angela; I'm Susan, a grandma living in south florida. I have been on fat secret for some time. Last year I lost and gained back the same 15 pounds on south beach. After deciding to give up all dieting, I changed my mind and joined weight watchers 3 weeks ago. I find the diet easier to follow than I ever did in the past and so far (it is only the beginning) it's working! I find the meetings which I pay for in advance, keep me grounded. Take it slowly-good luck. I am also looking at 20=30 pounds.

I have been away all week in NY with grandkids and this is the first opportunity I have had to get to computer......

1- The boys and I played tennis, an olympic sport once again.

We did play 3 different games.

As for tally:

As for a new chineese dish, I ate salted shrimp for the first time. First of all, that is a very expensive dish-but tasty. I only know it is coated in a coarse salt-Do not know the recipe.

As for my weight, I believe it is 154.5 -Using a different scale on vacation.

I submitted a talk on "relaxation methods" for this week's mini challenge.

My weight: 155 as of today! Perhaps it will be lower by Saturday/Sunday? If not, 155 is the last listed weight.

Summer B.E.A.C.H. Challenge!
Mini challenge for this week (8/04-8/09)

For most of my life I have endured anxiety, at times worse than others. I have seen counselors, taken meds, and on the whole do rather well. However, there are times when my anxiety can become overwhelming even with the help of all of the above.

I have learned to handle this in a natural way as of late. The procedure is muscle tension and relaxation of all the muscles of one's body. You can do this reclining in bed, eyes closed, and concentrting on all the major muscles of your body (from toe to head, or from head to toe).

Today a 4

Too many carbs - although not unhealthy carbs. I have to reduce carb numbers and see if that's why I am not progressing, but it is awfully tough because lots of veggies and fruits make me "sick to my stomach."
