Its going to be difficult for me to limit myself to one slice of this banana bread a day. So good! I posted the recipe yesterday.

Those single-serving loaves, buttered edge-to-edge, are deadly for me!

Trick: Slice them and freeze them - it's one more step to take from eating them all :)

Perks54, freezing isn't a barrier for me, for any kind of bread. I'd just slice them thinner so they'd thaw faster. Baked goods are not things I can keep in the house!

I can't have these around right now, either. :-( There was a time when I could, and had half-slices of banana bread individually wrapped, then all in a gallon zipper bag, in the freezer. Right next to the bag of bite-size brownie pieces. Often, half was plenty. Not sure what changed, maybe location change meant it was harder to keep healthful foods stocked. Maybe I'll get back there.

I think next time I will double the recipe and freeze a loaf like you suggest. I'm doing well rationing myself -- a lesson in will power for me that's probably healthy. I'm taking a bunch to a friend Saturday, too, which is helping to slow me down so I have some left to share!

You guys are really honest with yourselves, that self awareness is important. I'm developing it through my food diary - I use to convince myself I didn't eat that much and then saw the calculation of over 3000 calories in one day.

Perks, it is amazing how much food a person can eat without think about it, and an incredible capacity for mindless eating. I can eat sweets all day long and not be sick *or* sared!
