glen- these are so easy to make. The secret is to keep the fridge stocked with a couple different cooked veggies and to not run out of avocados! The only work I do before I eat is to cook the egg and arrange the stuff in a bowl. I keep a lot of stuff chopped already in the fridge. When I have no time for that, I pick up an assortment of interesting items from a local salad bar. 😊

Glen- with the Buddha bowls I don't use dressing. There is so much flavor & plenty of fat with the bacon and avocado. This week I Sautéed several days worth of curly kale in garlic and EVOO plus steamed Cauliflower. There's raw Broccoli in the fridge that I will steam today while I'm doing something else so when its time to eat, I will just zap in in the micro. No, I don't always make my own dressing but I detest 99% of bottled dressing. So for Mexican bowls and salads I just mix sour cream, salsa and hot sauce because there is already so much flavor. One Keto cheat I do is go to good salad bars and fill a small salad container with locally handmade dressing instead of salad. I just pay for the dressing that way and buy the veggies in the produce dept. 😊

Is there a way to change your settings for the goals in this app? I too am starting Keto but currently app says 50% carbs for goal?

I am the wrong person to ask, sorry! When I had to change something I grumbled my way over to my laptop and signed into the website. It is EXTENSIVE - I had no idea! You can change everything there. The app is limited but very efficient which suits me better. 😉

I'm going to steal your idea for these Buddha Bowls! They look so appetizing and kind of remind me of a Chipotle Burrito Bowl :) @banksb84, I'm not sure if you can change your macro goals. I switch between the mobile and desktop versions, and I haven't found the option to change the goals. MyFitnessPal is more extensive IIRC, but the ad pop ups and paywall since they were bought out by Under Armor brought me here.

Minnie- great! That's why I posted them. The ingredients are placed on a large serving of veggies underneath. I don't get hungry for many hours after eating these and they have definitely helped with weight loss! 😊

What kind of veggies do you put under your goodies? It reminds me of a healthier version of a #27 at my favorite Vietnamese restaurant except on the bottom is vermicelli noodles which I need to avoid since I have type 2 diabetes.

Hi gaildaras- I have a cup to a cup and a half of one of the veggies that's in the bowl- lately it's been either cauliflower, broccoli, or kale. On top you can see there is a healthy serving of both protein and quality fat. So I'm eating all 3 things that give us satiety- fibrous veggies, protein, fat. And it really works to keep me disinterested in eating/snacking for 5-6 hours.

gaildaras-Sautéed cabbage would be great for your Vietnamese bowl- what do they put in it? I bet it's awesome!
