Well...I went to my Dr Thursday & he wants me to follow a Low GI diet instead of Atkins. He thinks that I will be more committed. I am following the advice of "The Complete Guide of The Low Glycemic Index Diet For Idiots" book. It says to stay under 90 carbs a day. It seems to be very similar to Atkins except I am eating portin controlled amounts & I am incorporating low-GI fruits & veggies. I hope this works.
255.2 lb Lost so far: 0.8 lb.    Still to go: 105.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Good luck, it is very similar to Atkins OWL, just counting a little different. I hope it works out for you.
