So my weight is finally going back down after a rough beginning in June. Still not sure what caused the spike in weight the last two weeks, but that happens. My body really wants to stay the same size and will fight to keep the energy it has stored in my fat. It draws a line and says "I will not retreat any longer!" and will try to regain lost ground.

That is when it is time for me to kick up the resistance and elevation on the elliptical and force my body to abandon its entrenched position. It will go int retreat mode and the set up a new defensive front 10 to 12 lbs down the scale.

Yeah, I like play a lot of strategic war games. :-)
