2016 kicked my ass. I was depression eating and quit doing any type of exercise. None, zero, zip. I could not go on like this any more. My wife and kids needed me. I wanted to make a change. Being 330 lbs at age 45 is not a good way to reach age 50, much less my desired goal to live forever.

So, I determined 2017 was going to be the year to get in shape. Started the year off good. cut back on the sweets, and tried some portion control. Even dropped a few pounds. Then at my annual physical, found out I had high cholesterol and type II diabetes. Combined with the high BP I already was being treated for, the decision to "get healthy" was no longer a New Year's Resolution (that frankly I knew probably wouldn't last more than a month or so). It was change or die.

So begins the quest for life...
