Put up a question in the Forum Posts about What's Working?? Hope you will check it out. Making some changes to my 'own' plan - because of the continual stand still I find myself in. More info on that to follow...

Mom is doing well. Kids are doing well. Hubby... well! I'm the only one around here who seems to be not doing well. I have been incredibly faithful, and it's not producing any result. Time for a change.

Off to the gym, and to the grocery store... back later!

Much love.

I'll be watching the post for ideas. I think I am pushing forward but the pace is so slow it's hard to be sure sometimes. This is definitely a continuous learning process!

You are doing well. Think in the broader sense. You are sticking to this even when it's hard. You're the rock your family depends on. You're inspiring to people there and all over in the digital world. That's a lot of good work you're bringing to the world. /// Ok, sorry. I'm glad the family is doing well today and I hope your weight loss kicks back into gear for you here soon!

Nat, I have looked at your info at great length - but your carb intakes are just too high for me. But all of your other choices are fantastic. If I cut those back, I end up w/ calories too low - it just becomes this mass sea of confusion in my brain. That's why I was hoping to see some others stats on what they are doing that is working.

jks - thank you!!! I've certainly learned how to maintain over the last 18 months.. I am just maintaining in the wrong 3-5lb range, that's all! ;)

I can feel your pain. That range of goal to 5 lbs is a killer. I have recently focused less on what the scale says and more on how my clothes fit. I have also been checking my blood pressure and pulse more often. I want to focus on being fit more and not discourage myself with that last pound or two. This may not work for everyone. For me I can get so discouraged and lose a day or two when I don't see a drop on the scale that I have taken longer haitus from it.

Can't help you much, as I have come to a bit of a standstill.... I think post Christmas is a bit of a difficult time, to decide what's working over a 6-8 week Timeframe. I have stayed pretty static - just need to loose this last pound. Previously an RDI of on average 1400, aqua fit 3 times a week (this is cardio and strength) gym once or twice a week (using weights and warming up on one of the cardio machines) was working for me. I try not to do masses of exercise, as I want it to be achievable forever. I am confident that this formula will see me ok for the future - although I am doing spin once a week instead of 2 gym sessions (sometimes I do go once). Not sure that helps - I do vary my calorie intake throughout the week - sometimes I eat 1300 sometimes 1500 pr 1600.

Paula, I am in the same boat...not sure what the heck is going on. I have even been eating a few more carbs, but still keeping my total to 20 *gasp* NET carbs. I have started walking again, and doing my kettle bell, but this darned weight just isn't budging. Thinking about adding the fruit back in (ie Primal) as it had just started working well for me when dad died. I am like you...I feel the need to change things, but I am not quite sure what to change, and not sure if the changes will help. BIG sigh...Love ya! HUGS!

I just noticed an interesting coincidence also...we both eat low carb, we are both stalled out at about 60 pounds lost...wonder if that is a coincidence we need to look at a little more closely. Perhaps it is that number...60...and if we just stick with it, it will move eventually. Last time I was at the 60 pound lost mark, it took over 6 months for me to move past it! Anyway, just a thought! HUGS! Oh, meant to tell you...when we BBQ, I am the one who is out there doing the queing....I love to Q! Hubby takes care of the inside cooking! lol

Hi Everyone - what's working? I can't pinpoint it. I was at quite a bit of a slowdown throughout the month of January. I ended my Estrogen therapy at the end of January and I have been dropping again. Food, I just keep to the same menu - I have added some of the Russell Stover treats with no detriment - I added some yogurt as well. Very small amounts with no noticable changes for the bad.

Jsfantome... I "try" to eat more protein than carbs - but rarely get that balance, usually carbs are a little more than protein. I don't worry about fat - although I have never been a "big" fat eater. I also try to make sure I am getting fruit and veg. For breakfast I nearly always have a dry fried egg on toast, with either beans or ham. For lunch. Nearly always have a salad. Dinner is usual fish, meat or chicken with veg (I try not o have too many carbs). I also try to make sure i have a snack mid morning and afternoon. I hav also been drinking more green tea.

I have nothing to contribute to your post but will be sure to check it out. You know me - I'm always up for stealing ideas.
