Draglist's Journal, 02 March 2017

Woke at 209.0, down 4.0 from yesterday. Was up all night passing extra water. I should be leaving the hospital today -- will get the final word from the doctor sometime this morning. Will be staying at a local residence inn with a small kitchenette. Will be interesting to see what I can do for food in that situation and what I can do for exercise. No doubt any exercise facility at a small hotel will be relatively filthy for my condition. I hope to get clearance to walk outside if I use my mask. I may have to suck it up and restrict exercise for a while. I'll get some of these answers today. Sort of like leaving summer camp today, saying farewell to all the nurses and staff! UPDATE: Walked two miles during my morning calls, so I have a head start on that! I'm all packed and ready. Denise is on her way and we'll be checking out at noon. UPDATE: Checked out of the hospital at 1 pm and got a chauffeured ride to the front door in a wheelchair. That was fun. Checked in to our residence inn and found that they were waiting for us with a spotless room and a welcome bag. Denise really found a great place. She's out shopping now to stock us up with food.

Hi Bill, glad you're getting discharged today but sorry to hear about the expected conditions of where you'll be staying. It's a shame they couldn't keep you in a little longer if they need you close by, but I guess that would be expensive in a different way. I know if anyone can work around the situation it will be you. You mentioned hair loss - I thought you were a 'shaver' as in a bald pate? You look good shaved, if that's what I'm seeing in my head from old posts and FB. Be well my friend, I think of you daily.

Sounds like your transition accommodations will work out just fine. Nice to hear you are both healthy enough for walking and losing some of that water bloat. Wishing you continued success on your journey to normal health. Take care Bill and have a great week!!
