madaboutmoose's Journal, 21 January 2010

The word for the day is TIRED. Why do I feel more tired now than when I was waking up five times a night? I'm really dragging. If I could just close my eyes I am certain I would fall asleep. Yikes!!

Perhaps it is feeling so darn tired that is making me feel so darn hungry!! I ate and ate and ate yesterday and then snacked excessively last night. Today I am having a lunch meeting and I have no idea how many calories are in their sandwiches ... it is a local franchise and they do not have nutritional values posted. I am hoping for a lower calorie day today ... must trust myself that I know what to choose and I don't need nutritional values to make a wise choice.

My "get up and go" has "got up and went!!!" Oh well ... more coffee??? This tired feeling will pass eventually.

Today I am grateful for

1. buddies who risk telling their story to support another buddy
2. the hope of maybe sleeping in this weekend
3. not falling down this morning when I slipped on the driveway
4. some office time to work on paperwork
5. another three day weekend in a few weeks

Have a good day. Take care of yourselves.

Oh yes, more coffee here too please. :) I am sorry to hear about your hunger, it is a horrible feeling (especially paired with lack of sleep or tiredness) and hopefully it will pass soon. I slipped on a driveway sometime last week and that feeling of not falling was great! Especially when I realized that had I not lost the weight last year, I would have fell on my face. That is an excellent 5. Have a wonderful day sweetie.

I bet your tiredness has more to do with all the stress you've been under than a lack of sleep. Take it easy until you're over the hump. Sorry that the snackmonster got you but I hope your day is going better by now. :)

Lack of good rest definitely makes you more hungry. Hope you get some good rest soon so that you're energized for the day ahead! Glad you didn't fall in the driveway!! Love your daily 5. (((((HUGS)))))

I would feel tired too if I woke up every day at 4am. LOL! Just kidding. The good thing about days like that is that the next day always seems to be better. Somehow, the energy just seems to return. I think our bodies need some serious down time every once in a while. (I had one of those yesterday!)

Thank God you didn't fall down. I know it's so hard going somewhere with no nutritional guide. I think it should be a law that they have one. I like your 5 and I am hoping for a little rest this weekend too. It has been a draining week. I always get to your journal late it seems so in case I am late tomorrow enjoy your Friday!

I guesstimated the turkey sandwich I opted for at Caruso's and pretended like it was a Subway Turkey Sandwich, no cheese. I'm sure it is close ... and that will have to do for now. Yesterday I had a shoulder pain. Today that is gone and now I have a stiff neck. Stress? What stress???? LOL!!! Hubby says tonight I go to bed early ... we'll see how that works out!! I'm just now "myself" ... or at least the "self" I enjoy the most.

When I lived in Norway, #3 was a daily winter occurrence, alhough mine always ended up with "Bootie Meets Ice." It was so bad, I kept a tally mark in my journal for every time I fell. I hope you heeded hubberls advice and went to bed early to de-stress and rest.
