I'm doing the anabolic diet. It was designed for bodybuilders. I don't care what I weigh as long as my body fat is less than 10% and I carry lots of muscle because I like the way it looks. So anywhere between 180-220 lbs, as long as I'm lean.
It's basically Atkins for 5 days, then one or 2 days of carb loading. Like Atkins, the first 12 days are all low carbohydrate.
The calorie requirements are body weight (in pounds) x 18. Remember, this diet was formulated for active bodybuilders, and the amount of calories burned either bodybuilding, cross-fitting or power lifting are very high.
My new target macros are:

40% protein, 60% fat, 25g carbs max on the low carb part of the cycle.
The high carb part of the cycle, the macros switch to 15% protein, 25% fat, 60% carbs

According to the book, at 200lbs, the first 12 days I should shoot for 3600 calories daily.
That works out to:

240 grams fat
360 grams protein
25 grams fat

I went over on carbohydrates yesterday, ate 52 grams. And I fell way below on calories: I only took in 2900.
I woke up a pound heavier than the day before, but that's a pint of water and my weight usually fluctuates.
So I'm eating a big steak and eggs breakfast, drinking lots of water. I'll have a hamburger, 4% fat cottage cheese and salad lunch, and add olive oil to all my protein shakes.
Today's plan is to hit the gym hard, warm up with 5 minutes on the Stationary Hand Cycle, do upper body (chest, shoulders, arms), and core.
I'll have an interruption when we go to Vietnam in a couple weeks and I'll have to reboot the diet when I return in February.
