Today is the day I get serious about this new diet. I somewhat started last week. Today I give up the wine. That should help me immensly. Turning this over to God. I love to cook and eat good foods. I've got to practice portion control. I'm already making recipes lower in fat by using fat free and light substitutes.

Lord, I begin with You. I know that I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me. I know that there isn't any temptation that you will not provide a way out. I know that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. I also know that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Lord, I CAN'T do this on my own. I've tried SO many times before; but I know that today is different. I surrender myself completely to You. Give me wisdom in making good food choices and in portion control. Give me wisdom as I do menu planning and give me energy to exercise and encouragement to not give up. You alone can do it, Lord. I trust in You. In Jesus name, amen.
