HeatherKM's Journal, 11 November 2011

Yesterday I actually saw 3 different weights, 224.5, 225.5, and 226.5. I decided to take the middle weight.

This morning I saw both 225.5 and 226.0. I'm going ahead and recording 225.5, since I really hate seeing an increase. But tomorrow if 226 is there on the scale, I'll go ahead and record it.

Today I'm going to try and be extra good at not cheating at all. So far I've have my cup of Kefir and my green tea - both things that I dislike the most about the diet. In a little bit I'll have my morning fruit, and I have egg beaters for lunch (and some brussel sprouts). Afternoon fruit, then fish, veggies and yogurt for dinner.

I'm going to make my family spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, and I'm going to be good and not have any!
225.5 lb Lost so far: 7.5 lb.    Still to go: 85.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Out of curiosity, when are you weighing yourself? You will regularly have different weights throughout the day as your body digests and does its regular routine. I, for example, weigh myself in the morning (yesterday it was roughly 220), then the afternoon (~221) and then at bedtime (~222), but this morning I was down again. So if you are weighing at different times you will get different weights. I would also recommend taking a known weight (I have a 3 lbs handweight) and occassionally get on the scale with it to see if the scale is off - generally mine is. If I weigh 220.4 before the weight and then immediately after with the weight around 224.9 I know that they scale is doing something odd. (I need a new scale, I know that). Keep up the good work though! Also, update your food diary. It sounds silly, but I have found for myself that when I use it regularly it helps, although I am counting calories and sodium. Good Luck!

I need a new scale as well! I get different results at the same time of the day, in the morning. I weight first thing, but weight myself 2-3-4 times and see what numbers appear. Then I usually shower and weight again, I've found my wet hair adds about .5 lbs so I can subtract that and compare to the before shower weight. I also weigh at night, usually I can count on that weight being approximately 2 lbs heavier than I will see the next morning. When I was counting calories I did use the food diary, but what I love about this diet is I'm not measuring anything!
