What is going on? I exercise, trying drinking water, and still cannot lose the weight. I try to have protein for breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner thinking that would help. Don't eat that many carbs, so what gives?

hmmm... couple of questions. Are you tracking everything you eat? maybe you are underestimating your calories so you think you only had 1500 when it could really be 2000. that'll make a big difference. try doing the same meal for breakfast every day. for 1-2 weeks I'll eat a protein bar in the morning. after the initial 2 weeks i'll switch it up. but that gets the weight loss going. snacks i've added lots of fruit. and for the first 2 weeks I'll measure almost everything so I make sure i'm calculating calories correctly. that should jumpstart the weight loss. you may have hit a plateau. for exercise, switch it up, try a class, do a different machine, up the weights, anything that'll trick your body. also, have you taken measurements, because alot of times i'll notice no weight loss but an inch off here and there. good luck.

Thanks for giving me some tips. I will try measuring my portions. I did get down to 159 on Saturday, but I was alone that weekend and didn't eat big meeals. Will start weighing food. I don't have a gym membership, but have a treadmill at home. I try walking at lunch when not Jazzercising after work. Think I really need to watch my caloric intake and drink more water. We'll see how it goes this weekend, we're having an early Thanksgiving. I will try to only have protein and veges. No stuffing, gravy, carbs or dessert. Maybe only a drink or two. We'll see how I do next Thursday at weigh-in.

I have exercised all week so far - walked at lunch for 45 Monday and Wednesday; Jazzercised Tuesday and tonight. Can you not eat enough? Which diet works best for you? I think I need to find a plan and go by the book, ie., Curves - no carbs; fruit, etc. for one week. I am promising myself right now that for the next week I am going to truly try to get myself in the right frame of mind to do this! I just need to sit down this weekend and plan my meals out for the week AND START WEIGHING MY FOOD AND DRINKING WATER - which is hard for me to do - but will do my best.
