So I watched "The Biggest Loser, Where are they now?" Special. I can relate to that guy at the end who gained it all back. It's so easy to do! With me it's between five and ten pounds, sometimes 15. Up and down. Up and down. Over and over and over! I can't ever seem to get below a certain point. That "just a little won't hurt me" mentality, and the "I'll start tomorrow" mentality -- they have to be done away with! It should be "never." I think it's the only way to make this work. I need to focus!

The problem with should be is that it does not work for many of us. It sets us up for deprivation mentality which can sabotage us further because once we finally do give in and "splurge" we go all out or figure we have blown it any how so we may as well just keep going for the rest of the day. It is very hard to get past that kind of thinking but I truly hope you find what works for you.

I missed this episode, darn it. I do understand regaining weight, though. Even though I am at my goal weight now, I say again and again that MAINTAINING will be the hardest battle. Lately I have felt so comfortable that I have stopped recording in my food diary, skipped exercising, and not really watched my calorie intake. That's how I gained weight in the first place...you'd think I'd remember that! It is a continuing battle for me.

That is my problem with the Biggest Loser. It encourages weight loss, but not the habits that people need to maintain the losses. I can understand why they don't; a year long epic about someone maintaining the lost weight would not make for good television. Oh, and congrats on maintaining your current loss, Debbra! Good work.
