I have everything I own in my apartment and still haven't unpacked everything. I probably won't even be able to for lack of somewhere for it all to go lol

I hold onto some of my mothers dishes she used everyday as I was growing up.not that i need them, but to me they mean home.I'd rather use forty year old bowls than new ones with no history.Like the yellow bowl that i always made chocolate chip cookies in because i knew it would hold everything.Even the metal potato masher, that i can't even use in my pans cuz it would scratch.Maybe i could let that one go.

Paula - Can't believe that from you.

Missy - It is hard when you are renting. Apartments never seem to have enough closets.

I think that is everybody's little secret...keeping all kinds of stuff that never gets used, some of it, I know I just like the idea of using it someday. Like the fancy cheese slicer thing, I have never used it, never will? But, I think it is cute, so I keep on keeping it, I would like to have a fancy party someday & use it then, but so far, I think for the last 12-15 years it has remained un-used, but believe it or not, I still think that maybe someday? Optimism, what else can it be?

It's the biggest place I have ever lived in, separate rooms for me and both of my kids. I don't have a storage unit for the first time...ever really either I or my Mom has had one my entire life lol. Now if I could just weed out the seriously non-essentials I could probably be totally unpacked :)

Jen - I am getting to be the same way. I have my Mother's glass juicer. Every time I use it I think of her making us fresh orange juice by hand.

GG - If it is that cute, pull it out and have a party for two.

Missy - Just take it one box at a time. Eventually you'll get through it.

I remember my dad keeping an old wooden toilet seat. He always said, when they moved, he would put it back on the toilet and take the one he bought with him... Lol. He never did - the place caught on fire, so they lost a lot of stuff - I including the wooden toilet seat.

Skinny - that is sad that they lost all that stuff, but, as I am learning, it was just stuff.
