Want2BFit's Journal, 18 November 2009

I think I've come up w. a rotation of reasons why I can't/won't commit to a diet plan right now, but i know that diet/exercise in combination is the ultimate way to achieve success. Minus the circus mirrors I encountered @ Guess and the Bebe store lol I feel pretty fine in my clothes; actually I'm pretty comfortable in my own skin which is something that's very very new to me. I don't think I'm perfect at all, but there's not the same sense of urgency about my 'muffin' top or getting into said dress or whatever my goals are that motivate me. The optimistic side of me remembers you've lost over 50lbs, so it's okay to give yourself credit, but I still feel like whenever I eat carbs, or bad food i'm 'failing' in being bad in some sense.

We all feel the guilt too. I often beat myself up over it and you feel like your disappointing yourself and you should know better. I think the transition to always eating healthy can be tricky because sometimes we have that devil on our shoulder remembering our old eating habits. But hey you lost 50 lbs that is a HUGE success, so congrats :)

thanks so much Lillikins, I think the hardest part is changing your thinking; maybe thats harder than changing eating/exercising...it's a process! Sharon--thank you, I really appreciate it! :)

the most important is to feel comfortable and love yourself. if you're not ready, then don't push it. you've already done such a good job with 50 lbs, of course you can be proud of yourself! and all the good habits you made will stay and helps you to maintain your current weight. I think it's good to remember all the hard work you put on losing weight when you crave junk food, but I would say don't feel too guilty, life is life and nobody's perfect!

Good news: your low body fat %. Bad news: lost the job Good news: Maybe it wasn't the greatest job/not right for you...more Good news: U/E is being extended...hope you qualify - I'm waiting to find out myself.

If you are happy that is a great thing. You are exercising so much and when you are ready the motivation will kick in for the rest. I replied to your questions on my post yesterday!
