(My one-year anniversary on FS.) Day 6 of my new diet -- I gained a little bit, unfortunately. I was REALLY hungry last night because we came home late from visiting my parents. So I overate. I didn't veer from the menu of the new diet. But I counted my calories, and they were pretty high. Basically, I ate too much of that dense cereal. I have to remember that calorie counting is the main thing. So next time I'll stick to overeating on veggies. And I'll try not to let it get too late before I eat.

I just realized that today is my one year anniversary for starting FS. And I've lost a little less than a pound in all that time. Sad but true. This year will be different, though! I will get rid of this fat and say goodbye to it forever! I can do it! It's in MY hands!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update: I just weighed myself again, and since it's still the morning, I'm going to take it as my actual weight. I did lose! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
165.4 lb Lost so far: 1.8 lb.    Still to go: 7.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Wow. One whole year. Nevermind the scale--you have committed a while year of your life to taking care of yourself and learning new habits. That is a HUGE achievement. You are still here and it sounds like you're really committed to not just losing weight but living a healthy lifestyle. That is the real goal! (Of course losing pounds in the process is also a nice side effect.) Waiting too long to eat is a KILLER for me. I have to remind myself every day to eat around this time or else I'm too hungry to be in control later in the day. Happy Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary and congrats on sticking with FS for one whole year! Don't worry about just losing a pound. Think of it as not GAINING any weight! If you hadn't started taking control, you might weigh 20 lbs. MORE than you did last year. Now you can get yourself on track and start losing. Hang in there!
