Well, it is Wednesday and all is well. I have elected to continue on the induction phase for a little longer due to the amount of weight I have to loose. Right now, the numbers are not reflecting on the scale, but I feel that I am working toward my goal. I see changes in my body and I see more changes that is needed. I cannot wait till I no longer have to roll my pants up over my lower belly. I stand up and straighten out my pants/jeans and having to wear long shirts to cover the belly. Oh, sigh, one day!!!I felt the Atkins Edge this morning; I was ready to hit the track. This is going to be a good day, on a successful note, I woke up last night and I wanted a snack (sugar) but I drank some water and went back to sleep. That is one common element, I have found that once I go to sleep for some reason I wake up and want something to eat preferably something sweet. So, I wonder does my insulin drop or what it is that makes me crave sugar, could just be the addiction. I got word yesterday that our Mardi Gras ball is January 28, 2012, so I got 4 months to shed more pounds and to make a difference for 2012. 2011 resolution was to be a healthier person, which I have accomplished by ceasing to smoke and I have been walking for 4 months and now I am make better food choices. I am 50 years old and I have never reached the brass ring, it seems to have always been out of reach. I now know nothing is out of reach unless you let it. Therefore, I am going to reach for that Brass Ring and I am not going to turn loose. I want to really LIVE my life, instead of having regrets or watching life past me by, because of my self imposed limitations. I am proud that I loss 9 pounds in 2 weeks and it only happen because of my efforts. Therefore, I can put forth the same effort and continue on the same path. So whether it is 2 or 9 pounds it still reads as success!!! There is no magic pill or any magic diet, you have to listen to your body and see how it responds to what is provided.
