aBitFat's Journal, 19 February 2016

No weigh in for the second week in a row, I fell off the wagon and I don't want to face reality. Actually, the truth is a bit better than that. I am quitting smoking (once more!!!) and I'm staying away from the scale because I'm replacing an addiction with visits to the pantry, the fridge, the convenience store, and what not. I'm pigging out.

But after 10 days, I feel like that was enough and I'm starting to take back some control.

Next weight in next week, let's hope that there ain't too much damage.
Take care!

good luck with quitting smoking, when you manage to do that you will feel so much better than you do now. When I quit smoking 14 years ago I knew I was going to want to substitute something for the cigs. I bought 1 box of Smarties, M&M's would work also, or Dark Chocolate Chips. When I felt the need for a cig I would put 1 Smartie on my tongue and force myself to let it melt. I only used the one box, when it was done so were the cravings.

Great job! I'm scared to quit smoking as I know I'll replace it with snacks but in the end totally worth it!! 😊😊

Thanks all, congrats Eunice. You guys want to know the worst in all that, I did quit 12 years ago. And then, I started again a few years ago, was on and off for a while, and finally slipped completely last spring. Now I want to quite for ever. It is so not worth being sick, out of breath and low on energy (it does it to me...). So I'm starting to be a little more aware of what I eat, and next Monday, I'll get back on track and loose the few extra pounds I still have. Thank you so much for the support! ABitFat

I quit more times than I can count. The last time I guess the time was right and it just worked for me. I replaced cigs with almonds once and grew myself a terrible allergy. I can't even touch almonds or sweet almond oil ( in a lot of cosmetic products).
