I think I got this.

January always has 31 days. I am done logging my foods for the month with 2 days to go because for all the weekends prior to this within this month, I took it easy on myself I wanted to see if could exercise control over my excessive eating over the weekends. I only logged foods for 17 days this month and my total calories was 30785 which averages out to 1810.8823529412 calories or less than 1 percent over my RDI that I reset last year or the year before to 1800 calories because that's what all the data out there I gathered based on my values I inputted would allow me to loose weight.

I am down 11.4 pounds so far this month and I am shocked. My thinking is clearly changing this year for the better because I am really getting control over sticking to my RDI as best as I can. I haven't adjusted my macros yet because I am getting results and I am happy with them. My carbs are high, so what. Take a peek at my food log, I dare you. I am getting results and will adjust when things aren't working anymore

I have also increased my physical activity. For goodness sake, my wife signed us up for a half marathon in July. Really wife?

So I start a 24 week couch to half marathon training plan 3 weeks ago and just my luck during the second week starting Thursday, I starting feeling run down and by that weekend, my symptoms worsened. I couldn't sleep Sunday to Monday and Monday to Tuesday and I went to the Doctors office on Wednesday and the diagnosis was Bronchitis. I caught it from a lady on my commuter van who mentioned it yesterday that she had Bronchitis last week which is why she was out of the van a few days before I got sick. Just my luck.

I didn't let that slow me down, I still logged some miles on the treadmill yesterday once I got some medication, I just backed off from sprinting because I would cough myself to death.

I would love to return to my laid out training plan next week but Bronchitis is very serious, I thought during a few of my recent coughing bouts that I would pass out from lack of oxygen. The doctor said that it could take 2 to 3 weeks to fully recover but I am hoping that continued easy mileage on the treadmill and maybe getting some immune boosting foods and or supplements will help speed up my recovery.

I am fat now but I am getting fit. I am weak now but I am getting stronger. I am a fat secret warrior and in the for the long hall and looking forward to this journey of self discovery. To celebrate those who are kicking but and cheer on those who are struggling and just need a little encouragement. That means me too. I need some as well because I have felt alone and that I am the only only one going though this struggle when I put out a post and I get one or two hearts. That's OK. I will add that feeling of isolation and how I got past it to my developing success story later this year.

I love my family and I need to be there for them. I will do this. I got this.

Happy Weekend to all!!!

thanks UmmBilal, John10251, trackin64, HCB & iulani. I will screw up, that's inevitable, I am human. As long as my wins out number the number of losses, I can do this. Had a great day today now eating sushi and drink wife with my baby. Cheers!
