So I learned/noticed something about myself. When things aren't going my way at work or at home or whatever, I let it get to me and start making excuses and get crabby and grumpy and want to either not work out or eat carbage..I mean,I always knew this about myself but I'm becoming more aware of it when it starts to happen. I caught myself slipping into a pity party this morning bc work totally sucks right now,and my car issues and mom issues... then I snapped and was like.. hey, I'm prolly being recorded at work and my lack of enthusiasm will prolly show thru .. I better snap out of it..so I did a reset !! Work sucks, so what !! at least I have a job. Car is in shop, Great mores steps and home cooked meals. My mom annoys.. whose doesn't ?? Time to quit my whining today.I was able to get 35m of treadmill yesterday and really worked up a sweat. I'm modifying my "plan" for the week. I was supposed to step it up at the gym and take it to 6 days of lifting but that's just going to have to wait till my transportation issues are resolved. I'm settling for 4 days of gym.. and will try and get some cardio here at the apts..Flexibility is not one of my strong points since I'm a control freak so this is progress for me.Gym clothes on, bag packed and bus pass ready!
On another note.. more progress is being made. DH finally started his meds that were given to him like two weeks ago. He ate a good healthy dinner last night and really took an interest in our shopping and he just called me to say he was eating a salad !! I'm soo happy. It only took me two weeks of nagging. bwahahah. I did not buy him any soda's either, only a few of those mini coke zeros so he wont go into total shock. He just called and we planned some bunless burgers for dinner. Im excited.. Its baby steps but at least they are in the right direction.
Thank you buddies for being here for me lately,Ive been going thru a rough patch and posting here keeps me going and its sometimes the only thing I look forward to. Im ready for my new adventure on the bus today !! Hope everyone has a great day!!

I think we all have bad days when we just want to say the heck with it. I just like to think about how much worse things could be and that it's really not that bad. I think you are on the right track to stop the pity party when you see it coming. It's easy to jet derailed in our own self inflicted sorrow. Great work on the exercise plan. You got this so keep on going!

Woo!! Look at you :) Getting focused and pursuing that which matters to you. And you may not realize it but you ARE a good influence on the hubby. Keep encouraging each other. You got this.

Six days of lifting? wow - muscles need rest ,too. I like alternating sometimes. I know we can work different body areas. Greta you are doing some cardio at home. Hang with it! Lifestyle changes, right?

I lift 6 days/week, too, just 'cause it feels good. Congrats on the hubby problem. Though this usually solves itself once he starts noticing other men checking your new shape out.

What a wonderful thing to recognize when you are slipping and pull yourself back on track! Things are not always going to go your way and sometimes bad things are going to compound each other, but the way you react, the way you handle the situation makes all the difference in the world. Good for you!
