LaraStar's Journal, 15 August 2011

I went to a wedding this weekend. This was one of my reasons to start on this journey three months ago. I wanted to feel confident and enjoy myself.

And I did enjoy myself! But I wasn't as confident as I had hoped for. Still feeling chubby and hiding in a dark dress. Most of the other guests hadn't seen me for ages and they always knew me at the weight I am now. But if I had still been 170 lbs I would not have had such a good time. I don't see them very often, hopefully the next time they will see a big difference.

The food was fantastic, a five course meal and I ate everything without thinking about the calories. The portions were just right and I didn't have any potatoes. Too much alcohol again, I am not even a big drinker but I caved in to the pressure from other people that I couldn't possibly not have another drink after the champagne at reception and one glass of wine during the meal.

Then there was a lot of dancing.

When I got home on Sunday, I went straight for my Wii to complete a workout I missed on Friday. And then I had a nice healthy salad. Straight back on track!!! This week I am looking forward to continuing my exercise challenge and to eating healthy home cooked meals.

Well done LaraStar, I am sure the dancing burnt off any excesses you indulged in :-). I do admire you, jumping on the wii and completing your missed portion of exercise... Such dedication is bound to pay off in the end :-)

Definitely well done. I'm sure you looked amazing, even for folks who wasn't seen you for awhile. Im glad you had a great time!

Sounds like you had a fun time at the wedding :) Super props for hitting the Wii right after. I was a lump of lard for the day after. I'm sure they noticed your progress :)
